Jennifer M. Tichelaar began her work experience with The Gallagher Law Firm, PLC in January 2007 through the externship program at Thomas M. Cooley Law School.  While attending Cooley, she was actively involved in Cooley’s Sixty Plus, Inc. Elder Law Clinic.  Jennifer fulfilled her undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota -Twin Cities in 2004, receiving degrees in Entrepreneurial Management and Marketing with a minor in International Business.  While accomplishing her undergraduate degree, she attended the Bordeaux Business School in Bordeaux, France.

After receiving her Juris Doctorate in May 2007, she served as a law clerk with the firm until she was admitted to the Michigan State Bar. As an associate attorney for The Gallagher Law Firm, she has been admitted to the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, as well as the U.S. Tax Court. Jennifer is a member of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section, State Bar of Michigan and the Ingham County Bar Association.  She is a participant in the organizations of the National Association of Settlement Purchasers (NASP) and National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA).  She received the Certificate of Completion for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education's Bankruptcy Series, 2009-2010. Additionally Jennifer was named a "2009 Rising Star" by Michigan Super Lawyers magazine published by Minneapolis-based Law & Politics.
